The Greek state budget showed a primary surplus of 2.087 billion euros in the January-July period, up from a budget target for a surplus of 929 million euros, the Finance Ministry said on Tuesday, but down from a primary surplus of 3.024 billion euros in the same period last year, ANA reports.
This year an additional 213 million and 230 million were distributed as the social solidarity subsidy and the family benefits, respectively, while state expenditures also grew from the same period last year by 325 million euros.
