Bill lowering insurance payments for self-employed in Greece passed

A draft bill reducing insurance contributions by the self-employed sailed through the Greek Parliament’s Committee of Social Affairs on Tuesday, according to ANA

Labor Minister Efi Achtsioglou called it “real evidence the (bailout) memoranda and public finance restrictions have ended”. She added that the reductions will benefit 250,000 self-employed, and that this step is the first of several to relieve different segments of the society.
