The Greek unemployment rate was 18.5 pct of the workforce in January 2019, from 18.4 pct in December, but down significantly from 20.6 pct in January 2018, Eurostat said in a report released here on Tuesday, according to ANA.
The number of unemployed people in Greece reached 873,000 in January, with the unemployment rate among men at 14.5 pct and among women at 23.6 pct. The unemployment rate among young people (aged up to 25 years old) was 39.7 pct in January, from 39.8 pct in December.
