Greek Independent Authority of Public Revenue announced on Thursday that foreign nationals living in Athens who want to get a tax identification number (“AFM”) and online access to the tax platform need to apply to specific tax offices in Athens according to last name, ANA reports.
The directive applies to foreign nationals whose residence permits are issued or renewed by the Greek police or the Asylum Services, and the revenue authority pointed out that it will help distribute the burden of applications from DOY Athens Α’ (central Athens) and Athens IΓ’ (Kypseli) among more tax offices, speeding up the process.
- Applicants whose last names begins with the letters A to C should go to: DOY Athens Α’ , 6-8 Anaxagora St, postal code 100 10 (Central Athens)
- Applicants whose last names begins with the letters D to I: DOY Athens IΓ’, 33 Lefkados & 47a Evelpidon Sts, 113 62 (Kypseli)
- Applicants whose last names begins with the letters J to M: DOY Athens ΙΔ’, 184 Kourtidou St, 114 30 (Patissia)
- Applicants whose last names begins with the letters N to R: DOY for Foreign Nationals, 4 Metsovou St, 106 82 (Polytechnio)
- Applicants whose last names begins with the letters S to Z: DOY of Nea Ionia (also for Nea Filadelfia), 1 El. Venizelou St., 142 31 (Nea Ionia)
