Talks with Greece’s creditors on reducing primary surplus targets will begin and are likely to be completed within 2020, Finance Minister Christos Staikouras said in an interview with the newspaper “Parapolitika” published on Saturday. He also urged people to make use of the current favorable measures for the protection of primary residences by the end of April, ANA reports.
Replying to a question about reducing the high primary surplus target – currently, at 3.5% of GDP – Staikouras said the government had solid arguments to support its case for lowering targets.
