Greek budget recorded a primary surplus of €5.5 billion during 2018

The Greek state budget showed a primary surplus of 5.5 billion euros, on a cash basis, in 2019, up from a primary surplus of 1.5 billion euros in 2018, the Bank of Greece announced on Friday, according to ANA.

During this period, regular budget revenue totaled 51.199 billion euros, up from 50.792 billion in 2018, while regular budget spending dropped to 51.551 billion euros from 52.237 billion euros, respectively.
