Small and medium-sized enterprises demand equal opportunities, Ioannis Chatzitheodosiou, president of the Athens Chamber of Tradesmen said on Friday, adding that the government must take all necessary action to approve horizontal support measures and to press financial institutions so that no one ends up without the necessary funding, ANA reports.
“Around 50 pct of enterprises cannot obtain access to funding tools announced by the government. This is an exclusion that will not only widen the gap between small and large players by increasing unfair competition but sets the society on fire, for it is clear that these enterprises will have to close down, leaving workers out jobs,” he said. He urged the government to take all necessary measures in time or else risk finding itself before a dead-end.
