Tax return deadline to be extended for one month in Greece

The Greek Ministry of Finance is expected to soon announce an additional month extension for the submission of E1 tax returns for the taxpayers, protothema.gr reports.

As the initial extension expires in only 5 working days (July 29), it is considered practically impossible for the more than 1.7 million individual and legal entities’ tax returns that are still pending to be submitted.

The one-month extension to the submission of tax returns will also include the payment dates (until the end of August, ie if the submission is extended eg by 30 days).

For those who delayed filing their tax statements after July 29, the price will be that they will have to pay a double instalment in August, so that there are 6 of the 8 monthly instalments left until February 2021.
