Greece’s Development and Investment Minister Adonis Georgiadis clarified in an interview on radio Real FM 97.8 on Tuesday that he has not committed to a firm date for reopening the retail sector, ANA reports.
He also noted, however, that the increasing pace of vaccinations, now that the AstraZeneca vaccine has also been approved for use on the over-65s, will help “increase the wall of immunity” during the 10-15 days that intervene, in which an additional half million people will receive the vaccine. He also pointed out that the number of cases was a separate issue to the pressure on ICUs, hospital beds, and deaths.
