Greek government will support households and businesses with targeted actions

“We managed to keep our commitment that we will avoid a lockdown and the economy will remain open, and this is due to the government’s plan that bore fruit,” government spokesperson Yiannis Economou said on Friday in an interview with public broadcaster ERT, ANA reports.

“It is too early to say when we will lift the pandemic protection measures, but they will not last long,” he said.

“The state will be here to support households and businesses with targeted actions. It must stand by society when it is under pressure. The government is not lying about the real situation, because the targeted moves should not set at risk the economic dimension of the country. They must not endanger the stabilization of the economy and the growth potential of the country,” he underlined.
