Greek government to absorb more price hikes during rising energy costs

The government is preparing additional measures for absorbing more price hikes during the unfolding rise in energy costs, Minister of State Akis Skertos said in an interview with TV station SKAI on Saturday, ANA reports.

These are most likely to be announced in the month of May, he added.

“ We cover 70-80% of the increases for the most vulnerable households and 50% of increases in businesses,” he noted, while adding that the total cost on the economy is close to 14 billion euros.
