Environment and Energy Minister Theodoros Skylakakis pre-announced subsidies on electricity bills in September as well, speaking on Friday at the station RealFM, ANA reports.
According to Skylakakis, there are resources from taxation and the subsidy is also being considered for September, until there is a de-escalation of prices, but a wait-and-see attitude is maintained by the government, until the providers announce the final prices.
The minister said that in the autumn a de-escalation of prices is expected due to the normal decrease in demand and also due to the entry of new renewable sources.
