Greece’s services exports to France in 2024 amounted to 2 billion euros at current prices or 0.8% of GDP, dominated by travel receipts.
Specifically, according to Eurobank, services exports to France in 2024 mainly included travel receipts (€1.27 billion) and to a lesser extent transport services (€277 million), other business services (€141 million), telecommunications, IT and information services (€90 million) and insurance and pension services (€78 million).
The Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) trade data show that Greece’s exports of goods to France amounted to €1.469 billion at current prices in 2024, an amount corresponding to 0.6% of GDP.
In conclusion, Greek exports of goods and services to France in 2024 were 1.5% of GDP. These exports mainly included medical and pharmaceutical products, non-ferrous metals, dairy products, eggs, fish, fruits, vegetables, travel and transport services.
The Greek economy recorded a deficit in the goods balance with France of -1.1% of GDP in 2024 and a surplus in the services balance of 0.4% of GDP. Due to the size of France’s economy, there is potential for increasing Greece’s exports to this country.
