Greek Alternate Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura on Tuesday held successive meetings in Athens with the ambassadors of the Czech Republic, Australia and India in an effort to boost tourism growth prospects in Greece by increasing arrivals from new markets.
The aim of the meetings was to explore the possibilities of future bilateral tourism relations to increase visitor numbers to Greece, according to an announcement by the Tourism Ministry.
The Ambassador of the Czech Republic, Jan Bondy, informed Ms Kountoura on the increased interest of the Czech nationals to visit Greece and invited her to visit the Czech Republic to discuss cooperation possibilities with her counterpart Klára Dostálova.

Finally, the Ambassador of India, Murugesan Manimekalai, informed Ms. Kountoura that Greece can explore huge opportunities of attracting more Indian tourists, therefore, the possibility of launching direct flights between the two countries and promoting Greece through the film industry of India were discussed.
