Print media in Greece will strike on Thursday and Friday in a protest against pension reforms.
The 48-hour strike was decided by the Panhellenic Federation of Journalists’ Unions (POESY). The strike will affect electronic media and the semi-state ANA-MPA news agency as well.
The strike will finish at 6 a.m. on Saturday, when broadcast media will begin their 48-hour strike.
POESY’s board is scheduled to meet again on Friday to decide whether to take further action against the changes to the pension system detailed in a bill the government put to public consultation this week.
