Greeks of Alexandria hand over memo to visiting Deputy Minister

The representatives of the Greek Community of Alexandria, Egypt, handed over to Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Yiannis Amanatidis a memorandum with the main issues that concern the Greek community in Alexandria that is the last stop of Amanatidis’ two-day visit to the Greeks in Egypt.

In the memorandum the Greeks of Egypt request a more favourable taxation of their pension and set the issue of currency allowed to transfer to and from Greece and asked for the support of the Greek government in order for Egypt to allow more than one nationalities for the Greeks that are living in Egypt as well as the exemption of the real estate taxation for those falling within the taxation for foreign residents and finally the set the issue of voting by post for Greek Abroad.
