US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland will hold separate meetings on Thursday with Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci.
Nuland will also have a meeting on Thursday with Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides, while during her stay on the island she will meet with UN Secretary General`s Special Adviser on Cyprus Espen Barth Eide.
Meanwhile, Anastasiades and Akinci will hold a new meeting on Thursday, in the framework of the UN-led negotiations, aiming to reunite the island under a federal roof.
According to CNA sources, Greek Cypriot negotiator Andreas Mavroyiannis and Turkish Cypriot negotiator Ozdil Nami held two meetings this week, one on Wednesday and one on Monday.
Cyprus has been divided since 1974, when Turkish troops invaded and occupied 37% of its territory.
