Tsipras and Erdogan discuss Cyprus and refugee issues over phone call

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras spoke with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday on the Cyprus issue and the EU-Turkey deal on refugees, his office said. 

The two leaders discussed in a phone call developments in Cyprus talks and the procedure followed and agreed to talk in the next few days, if necessary. On the refugee issue, Tsipras said the EU-Turkey deal is necessary, adding he supports Ankara’s request “to receive from the EU what the country is entitled.
