A participation plan in the Greek program is being prepared by the International Monetary Fund, according to information of the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation. The IMF itself set the condition of the characterization of the Greek debt as “sustainable” in order to participate in the program.
The IMF plan is expected to be revealed in the coming weeks, possibly shortly after the Eurogroup of December 5. If confirmed, it would constitute a parallel three-year program from 2017 until the end of 2019.
Time for Greece to exit to the markets, better conditions compared to the previous agreement, and cash for primary investments are referred to as design features and IMF sources remind that, in the last four months, the convergence points are consolidated.
