The head of the European Commission’s negotiating team for ‘Brexit’ Michel Barnier is to visit Athens and Nicosia next week, European Commission spokesman Margaritis Schinas announced on Friday.
Schinas said that the 27 EU member states apart from Britain will begin informal preparations within the week for the start of the negotiations on Britain’s exit from the EU. Barnier will brief all the experts and officials of the EU member-states and other EU agencies for the first time.
