The future of Evros is its touristic development and not turning it into an energy hub, To Potami leader Stavros Theodorakis said in statements to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA).
Theodorakis underlined that this obviously increases the region’s strategic importance.
He also said that the combination of the primary sector, culture and natural beauty found in Evros is irresistible and therefore it is easy to create tourist product.
Asked if there are margins to support the businesses and the economy of the region, the head of Potami party responded that today “there is no much room for another economic policy”, since “the government is specific and the economic policy is a government issue. “
