Turkey’s Deputy Prime Minister says Mont Pelerin talks under control

Turkey’s Deputy Prime Minister Tugrul Turkes is alleged to have said that everything is under control at Mont Pelerin specialist talks on the Cyprus issue, sources told Turkish Cypriot newspaper Kibris Postasi on Thursday.

The newspaper reported that so called ‘prime minister’ Hussein Ozgurgun spoke with Turkes – who went to Mont Pelerin on Wednesday – on the phone about the ongoing negotiations.

Turkes told Ozgurgun that there is nothing being discussed which is cornering Turkey or the Turkish Cypriot side, and that everything was under control.
