Yigit Bulut, a senior adviser to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused Greek PM Alexis Tsipras of selling out his country. In an interview on state-owned TRT haber channel, Bulut said that all ports had been sold to German businesspeople, claiming that the current economic conditions in Greece had rendered the country’s citizens slaves due to its large debt.
“All ports have passed into the hands of German capital, all stock markets, all the banks. There is no Greece today. I wish Leonidas’s 300 would rise to see the conditions today in Greece”, he stressed. He mocked Tsipras for not wearing a suit tie, but he accepted everything the EU and the IMF had asked. “He sold off Greece”, he said.
