Greek Defence Minister Panos Kammenos met with new personnel manager of the White House Reince Priebus and with George Papadopoulos associate of the new US President Donald Trump and with other top officials of Trump’s staff as well as members of the Greek-American community on the occasion of the inauguration events for the US presidency in honour of the Greek-American members of the new government of the US that was held in Washington.
Kammenos also met with Archbishop of America Demetrios.
In statements, Kammenos said that “Greece is a factor of stability in the wider region with close cooperation with Israel as well as with Egypt, Jordan and with countries of the Alliance as Bulgaria and Romania. So, around Greece can be formed an axis that will stop the Islamic fondamentalism”.
