Tensions have risen again in the Aegean, when a Greek ship moved from Kalolymnos in the direction of Imia, Hurriyet Daily News reported on Saturday.
The newspaper said that Turkish ships immediately blocked the path of the Greek ships.
According to the newspaper’s information the Greek ship was approximately 1.5 nautical miles from Imia. Turkish ships were awaiting the Greek ship on the shore of the island Alikarnassos, 3.8 nautical miles away from Imia.
In an another incident at approximately 15:00, according to Milliyet newspaper, a Turkish ship passed approximately 20 metres away from Imia with 60 officers and soldiers on board.
