Bids to construct roads in occupied Kyrenia on Cyprus opened by Turks

Bids have been opened in Ankara for the construction of two roads in the occupied city of Kyrenia, the so called ‘ministry of transport’ announced on Tuesday.

According to Turkish Cypriot newspaper Halkin Sesi, one of the roads would run for 17 km from Kyrenia to the occupied part of Nicosia through the Pentadaktylos mountain range, and the other will run from Kyrenia to the village of Ayios Epiktitos.

The so called ‘transport minister’ Kemal Durust said that the widening and construction of the two roads would be for a total of 26 km and a significant investment for 2017.
