President of Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos on Monday spoke on the phone with European Council President Donald Tusk, congratulating him on his re-election. At the same time, Pavlopoulos pointed out the major challenges that put the unity, cohesion, and the prospects of the EU and the inner core of the Eurozone at risk.
Moreover, the Greek President reassured Tusk that he will have Greece’s unequivocal support in his effort to defend the principles and values that safeguard the unity, cohesion and the prospects of the European edifice. He also invited the European Council president to visit Greece, an invitation that Tusk accepted with pleasure.
