Deputy Defense Minister: Greece should not meddle in the EU-Turkey crisis

It is not to our interest to meddle in the EU-Turkey crisis, said Deputy Defense Minister Dimitris Vitsas talking on Hellenic Parliament Television. Mr. Vitsas noted that this situation afflicts the European orientation of Turkey, which is “in the interest of geopolitical stability and creates new conditions that are impossible to overcome from one day to the next. Therefore, we should be very cautious”.

Mr. Vitsas also spoke out against the idea of a multi-speed Europe, stressing, “This would mean a bleak future for Europe and the European idea”.
