Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras’ speech to the cabinet meeting was a failed apology for his policy, said main opposition New Democracy (ND) in an announcement on Thursday.
“Not a single word for the tax free deduction, not a single word for the cuts in pensions and of the citizens’ income and not a single word for the harsh measures bearing his signature” said ND’s announcement.
The main opposition party reminded that Prime Minister himself repetitively stated in the past that he will not impose additional measures. “With his obsession and unefficiency and the allegedly harsh negotiation he led the country to recession. Everyone knows that this government can’t promote the necessary changes and can’t take the country out of the crisis”, concluded ND’s announcement.
