Minister meets with regional Vice Governors to define a unified tourism identity for Greece

Greek Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura met the Vice Governors for tourism of the country’s 13 regions to discuss national strategy with the tourism policies of each of the regions in order to give Greece a unified tourism identity.

She presented the ministry’s national tourism strategy while the regional vice governors described the competitive advantages of their destinations and agreed to work with the ministry to form a coherent communication and promotional strategy.

She also asked the vice governors to submit proposals for the promotion of each of their region’s travel experiences that aim for sustainable tourism development throughout the year and create benefits to their destinations and local communities.

Another meeting is to be held isoon to shape the national planning of Greece’s unified tourism identity and how it will be promoted by the Greek National Tourism Organization (EOT) in the following season.
