Greek Deputy PM meets with visiting Turkish Deputy PM

Greek Deputy Prime Minister Yannis Dragasakis met in Athens on Thursday with Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Hakan Cavusoglu, to discuss enhancing the bilateral economic relations of the two countries ahead of the visit to Greece of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Erdogan is expected in Athens between the end of November and early December; the date has not been set yet.

Dragasakis referred to the continuous improvement of the Greek economy and the need for expanding economic relations between Greece and Turkey, especially in bilateral trade and investments, according to a statement from his office. He also underlined the rise of Greek exports to Turkey in 2017.

Both ministers also referred to the deal between the European Union and Turkey on refugees.
