Second round to elect leader of new center-left party in Greece

The leader of the new center-left party in Greece will be designated after the second round of elections on Sunday, November 19. Fofi Gennimata with 42.76% and Nikos Androulakis with 25.1% were the two candidates, out of nine candidates in total, that gathered the most votes and pass to the second round of elections.

More than 210,000 citizens took part in the electoral procedure, which was concluded smoothly. The people demonstrated that they wish a genuine reform, something between New Democracy and SYRIZA parties, said President of the Independent Committee for Ethics and Procedures (AEDD) Nikos Alivizatos.
