Brexit negotiations now underway between the European Union and United Kingdom were the focus of a meeting between Alternate Foreign Minister for European Affairs George Katrougalos and UK Minister of State in the Department for Exiting the EU Baron Martin Callanan in Athens on Wednesday.
The two ministers discussed progress after the sixth round of talks between the two sides and agreed that they should keep each other constantly informed on the progress of the negotiations.
Katrougalos underlined the importance for Athens of a timely conclusion of talks, leading to an agreement between the EU and UK, as well as the protection of the rights of citizens of both countries in the most effective way.
