The Greek-US relations and the regional developments with emphasis on the Turkish provocations in the area, the FYROM name dispute and the European perspective of the western Balkans, dominated Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras’ meeting on Saturday with seven US Congress senators, it was announced by the Prime Minister’s press office, ANA reports.
Greek Americans have always been a very active community in the United States reinforcing the historic ties between the two nations and certainly boosting tourist inflows over the years. Furthermore, Greece is considered a top destination for US tourists and American businessmen have expressed a keen interest in investing in Greek tourism recently.
