EU Commissioner proposes permanent forum of SE European countries

The establishment of a permanent forum of all the countries of Southeastern Europe, both members of the European Union and non-members, was proposed by Greek European Commissioner Dimitris Avramopoulos during his speech at the Delphi Economic Forum on Friday, ANA reports.

The aim is to work together to open a shared European highway that is common to all, where the fundamental values of United Europe act as a strong foundation for the evolution of the Balkan region into a model for coexistence, stability and solidarity for the entire world, so that the current leaderships of the countries in the region leave behind the greatest legacy for the generations to come, that of peace, stability, security and prosperity, Avramopoulos noted.
