Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is to visit Berlin in late August, at the invitation of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, according to an announcement on Tuesday, ANA reports.
Merkel extended the invitation during a phone call to Mitsotakis on Tuesday morning to congratulate him on his victory in the general elections.
Mitsotakis thanked Merkel for the invitation, while the exact date of the visit – which will take place after the Greek parliament reconvenes on August 20 – is expected to be confirmed in the following days.
