US Ambassador to Greece Geoffrey Pyatt on Thursday said that Washington has confidence in Greece’s positive and stabilizing role in the region, referring to Turkish provocations and the strategic importance of Greece’s position in the region during his address to the Athens Energy Dialogues, ANA reports.
Pyatt pointed out that the US strongly supports the cooperation between Greece, Cyprus, and Israel on the East Med pipeline, which he called a long-term project that is in line with the US’s energy strategy in the Eastern Mediterranean.
