The Turkish authorities closed the border post at Kipi at 09:30 on Wednesday, citing a need to carry out technical works, ΑΝΑ reports.
According to sources, the border post will be closed until 16:00, while currently, long lines of vehicles are forming on both sides of the borders.
In the meanwhile, a video obtained by protothema.gr clearly shows Turkish police officers throwing tear gas towards the Greek side of the borderline at Evros, where illegal immigrants are trying to breach the borders and enter Europe.
