Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Wednesday spoke on the phone with his Albanian counterpart Edi Rama, discussing the measures taken against the coronavirus pandemic as well as the policy for gradually exiting the lockdown and lifting restrictive measures, so that connections between the two countries can be restored.
The 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic was confirmed to have reached Albania on 8 March 2020 and as of 22 April 2020, there were 634 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Albania.
