“Culture will not be treated as a market product. We will not leave the people of art unprotected,” said Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who attended the first rehearsal of the National Theater for the play “Persians” by Aeschylus, accompanied by Culture and Sports Minister Lina Mendoni, on the occasion of the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development 2020, marked on May 21, ANA reports.
According to government sources, the prime minister talked for over an hour with the actors in the performance and listened very carefully to their concerns and comments, which more broadly reflect the concerns of the people of art on the way to the resumption of cultural activities in Greece.
