Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis paid a visit to Piraeus on Monday morning, where he strolled down the main commercial high streets a few hours before the restaurant sector reopened for the first time after the Covid-19 lockdown, ANA reports.
The prime minister spoke with shop keepers and customers about how they were adapting to the new normality and the health safety rules required due to the pandemic. He also chatted with staff in retail outlets, which have been open during the past two weeks.
The prime minister also expressed confidence that results in tourism will be better than expected and that this will create more customers for the catering sector.
