President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou expressed her warm wishes to the American people on the occasion of 4th July’s celebration of Independence DAY in a post on twitter.
“The US Declaration of Independence inspired the Greek Revolution and the Constitutions of the Greek Revolution (against the Ottoman Rule)” pointing out that “In our inviolable rights is included not only the freedom and the equality but also the pursuit for happiness.”
