The European Commission is ready to provide support to Greece said European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen in a post on her Twitter account on Wednesday, ANA reports.
“I am deeply sorrowed by last night’s events at the Moria refugee camp in Greece. My College was informed this morning. I have asked VP Margaritis Schinas to travel to Greece as soon as possible. We stand ready to support, with the Member States. Our priority is the safety of those left without shelter”.
