Alternate Foreign Minister Miltiadis Varvitsiotis was received at the Holy See and met on Friday evening with the Secretary for Relations with States of the Vatican Archbishop Paul Gallagher extending an invitation, on behalf of the Greek government, to Pope Francis to visit Greece, ANA reports.
The two top officials discussed the migration issue and Turkey’s role, the developments in Libya, and other regional matters with an emphasis on the problems of the Christian communities in the Middle East.
