Greece will play a leading role in the effort to build a social Europe, said Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis during the informal European Union Summit in Portugal, on Saturday, ANA reports.
Mitsotakis also raised the need for a swift implementation of the so-called ‘green’ vaccination certificate, so that citizens can start traveling to other countries without further delay.
In his address, the premier also stood explicitly in favor of the coronavirus vaccine patents waiver, as he has been, he pointed out, supporting the issue since April and May 2020, “in view of minimizing the gap between developed and developing countries.”
