The European COVID-19 Certificate is activated from Tuesday and Greece is included in the first block of countries, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said, according to greekcitytimes.com.
He said he was optimistic about the course of COVID-19 in the summer, citing the acceleration of vaccinations combined with the steady drop in cases and new imports.
“As we move towards the exit from the pandemic, the country will have to be institutionally armed in order to enter the post-COVID era dynamically,” he noted.
“That is why I call on you to welcome the summer with something that this government knows how to do very well: to plan, to work methodically, and to bring results,” Mitsotakis said in his closing introductory statement to the Council of Ministers today.
