Greece’s Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias spoke on the phone with his Cypriot counterpart Ioannis Kasoulides on Saturday, ANA reports.
The focus was on the close coordination between Greece and Cyprus on all issues and the latest developments in the Cyprus issue, according to a foreign ministry post on Twitter.
Recently, the launch of the ferry link between Greece and Cyprus has created great potential for maritime tourism between the two countries.
Cyprus has been trying for years to revive a ferry connection between the island’s southern coast and mainland Greece, but prospective investors argued financial risks and year-round service terms in previous public tenders made it impossible to move ahead without more insurance from the state.
