Greek Foreign Minister meets visiting Italian counterpat in Athens

Greek Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Dendias put particular emphasis on Thursday’s attack on an Italian Embassy vehicle during his meeting with Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy Antonio Tajani in Athens on Friday, ANA reports.

“I would like to convey to you, on behalf of the Greek Government, our strongest condemnation regarding the bomb attack on the car of an Italian Embassy official,” Dendias told his counterpart

On his part, Tajani pointed out that the “Greek people’s friendship is more powerful than the violence of those perpetrators.”

In terms of bilateral relations, which Tajani said “are excellent,” Italy and Greece “can do more in terms of the economy and also at EU level,” Tajani added, “and together tackle the great issue of migration.”
