Government spox: Greece will reach the most developed EU countries

“The pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine combined with the fourth industrial revolution and the climate crisis in a short period of time drastically changed everything on the world stage. Certainties have collapsed, huge adjustments are taking place in every area and in every sector, and economies and societies are swirling in search of a new balance. Everything is being set up almost from scratch and a new world is dawning which will be very different from the one we knew up until 2019,” government spokesperson Yiannis Economou said during a press briefing on Thursday, ANA reports.
Economou noted that Greece was starting from a good point, emitting dynamism and having won international respect:
“In the new four-year period, freed from all the burdens of the post-memorandum era, we will be able to achieve much more that is beneficial for everyone, bringing Greece, our homeland, to the level of the most developed European countries from all sides. We know how and we can do it. With a strong mandate from Greek society, which has our work as a guarantee, we will go even higher.”
