The United States and Greece are united by democratic values and share the same goals for peace and prosperity, according to a statement by the State Department released on Monday, ANA reports.
In the statement, the State Department notes that “the United States views Greece as an indispensable partner and key North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Ally supporting NATO’s southeastern flank. Together, we are advancing our shared goals, united by democratic values, for peace and prosperity in the Eastern Mediterranean, Western Balkans, Black Sea region, and beyond.”
